Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Micra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 22.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 66 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,911 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Micra's resale value?

The current average of $8,932 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,010 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking about future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward. If you plan to sell later, the current trend means your eventual resale value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is presented. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Micra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 22.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Micra with a favourable price trend and enough listings to shop around. If you're especially price-sensitive, the 2016 may be worth a look for a lower average price, while the 2018 sits higher and may suit you if you're willing to pay more for a newer model year.
