How much does the 2017 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 7.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 94 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2017 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Altima earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also like its smooth handling and spacious interior. In practical terms, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a comfortable midsize sedan for everyday driving, especially since the overview highlights its value focus and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2017 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback specifically points to reliability, and it also reinforces the Altima’s reputation for being comfortable and fuel efficient. That combination suggests you can reasonably count on it as a dependable used sedan if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about owner sentiment and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,044 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $11,044 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,949 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the car easier to buy now but less advantageous if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend implies you may need to price competitively to attract attention. The fact that 27.7% of listings are already considered good or great deals also shows that buyers have options, which can put pressure on resale pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize sedan with strong owner approval and a market price that has eased. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 remains the better fit when you value all-wheel drive, comfort, and a solid feature set over chasing the absolute lowest purchase price.
