Used 2017 Mazda CX-9 for Sale nearToronto, ON

How much does the 2017 Mazda CX-9 cost?

Prices have softened 13.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 57 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner approval. The 2017 Mazda CX-9 stands out for putting a sporty driving feel and a premium presentation ahead of the usual family-SUV formula, so it makes sense if you want a three-row SUV with a more engaging character and a stylish, upscale cabin rather than maximum space. Its clear identity will appeal most if you value design and a refined interior over the most practical packaging. With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Mazda’s approach gives the CX-9 a distinctive, well-equipped feel, and its premium presentation helps it stand apart from more ordinary family SUVs. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its less universally appealing infotainment setup and firmer ride may matter more over time if you prioritise everyday ease and comfort.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mazda CX-9?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 57 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,143 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $18,144 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,972 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the CX-9 easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of overpaying in a softer market. The model’s premium feel and distinctive driving character can still help it hold interest among shoppers who want something more upscale than the average family SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 Mazda CX-9 if you want a three-row SUV with a more premium cabin and a sportier personality than many rivals. If your priority is getting the lowest possible entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 is the better fit when you value design, driving feel, and a strong owner satisfaction signal.
