How much does the 2017 Kia Soul cost?

There are 123 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Kia Soul earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, good fuel economy, and comfortable ride, and many also like the spacious interior and modern features. That lines up well with the Soul’s role as a practical, distinctive subcompact hatchback that is meant to be affordable and easy to live with. With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you may still find worthwhile options if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting good fuel economy, comfort, and value over time. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on the Soul to be a sensible daily driver if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,277 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $10,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,106 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Soul easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current pricing trend means you should expect resale value to be shaped more by condition, mileage, and equipment than by broad market momentum. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2017 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as the more balanced choice for most shoppers.
