Great turning radius, good visibility, and easy to drive. I shoveled the car out of 3+ feet of snow and it started right up! Got my family out of the extreme weather comfortably and safely.

Love this car. It has everything you could want. It dries very comfortably and smooth, the breaking is awesome, and the surround camera view is such a helper. The Seats in the back lay down almost completely flat, provide a great space to pack or go camping, and the storage compartments in the trunk are perfect. Everything fits like a puzzle that’s easy to solve.

OMG, I am in love with my new car. I have luxury features I didnt even know I needed; a heated steering wheel is an absolute necessity at this point. I love the luxury features in this mid size family SUV, heated and cooled seats, with read heated seats that are also adjustable; my kids love to recline. Apple and Android car play Hyundai did not discriminate. Panoramic moonroof, 360 camera, the navigation view appears as an actual map, and the ride is so incredible smooth I love to drive this baby in sport. There is so much to say about this vehicle great buy.

| Year-Round High | $15,794 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,794 CAD |

There are 439 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport a good car?
Yes — the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its value, comfort, and features, and many also like the spacious trunk and available luxury touches such as heated and cooled seats. Good and great deals make up 29.4% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing it positively in terms of value, comfort, and overall usefulness. For used buyers, that kind of feedback suggests lower day-to-day worry if the vehicle has been maintained properly and checked carefully before purchase.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport?
It looks like a moderate market, which means you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 439 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.88% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $13,738 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport's resale value?
The current average of $13,759 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,794 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be a challenge if you're planning to sell soon. On the other hand, the current level may help keep the vehicle attractive to used buyers who are comparing value across similar SUVs. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.88% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked SUV with a softer price than a year ago and enough inventory to compare options. If you're price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and move quickly when a clean example appears.
