What is the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport's resale value?

The current average of $14,802 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,970 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you buy now and plan to sell later. If prices stabilise, future resale losses may be more gradual than they were over the past year. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when it comes time to trade in or sell privately.

Should I buy a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked used SUV with softer pricing and enough inventory to compare options. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth a look, but the 2018 stands out as the better-balanced pick when you want value and owner approval together.
