Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Accent?

It’s a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 96 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,602 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Hyundai Accent's resale value?

The current average of $9,902 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,024 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means a future sale may need to be priced carefully to stay competitive. If the market continues to normalise, resale value should depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Accent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Accent with solid owner approval and a market that currently favours patient shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, keep an eye out for listings near the lower end of the range; if you want more room to compare, the current inventory gives you enough options to shop carefully.
