Is the 2017 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with many drivers saying they can count on its smooth, practical character over the long term. That kind of consistency matters if you want a used truck that should be easier to live with than more traditional alternatives. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a truck that may already be priced at a premium.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

What is the 2017 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $23,057 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,244 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The current range also shows that well-priced examples still have room to hold value better than overpriced ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Ridgeline’s comfort-first approach, clever storage, and strong owner approval, the 2017 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the lower end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you commit.
