Is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfort, and towing capability, and they also like the rugged workhorse character and stylish features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious towing and hauling while still feeling more modern and refined than older alternatives. With 15.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, especially when you value its power and towing strength. The same reviews also suggest it is a vehicle people feel confident relying on for work, which matters if you plan to keep it for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that heavy-duty trucks can be expensive to sort out if prior use was hard or maintenance was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 15.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 63 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,255 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $44,401 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,028 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but slightly less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you own one and plan to sell later, the softer trend means timing and condition will matter more. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because this model year has strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among heavy-duty truck shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 15.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better pick if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, a softer price trend, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2017 stands out as a balanced choice when you want capability and value in the same package.
