Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,179 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $17,956 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,453 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A well-kept Charger with desirable equipment should still attract attention, but the broader price trend shows that values have softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Charger’s mix of performance, style, and everyday usability, the 2017 is a strong choice, especially if you value the updated infotainment setup and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced, best-maintained example rather than the newest one available.
