How much does the 2017 Acura TLX cost?

Is the 2017 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, fast performance, and beautiful interior, and they also like the responsive handling in sport mode and the way it absorbs bumpy roads. For you, that makes the TLX a compelling pick if you want a premium sport sedan that balances comfort, performance, and value. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers feel they can count on for everyday use, especially when it comes to comfort and driving refinement. At the same time, some owners mention transmission concerns in eco and normal modes, so you should pay close attention to how the car drives and shifts on a test drive. For used buyers, that means reliability looks encouraging overall, but a careful inspection and road test are still important to reduce long-term ownership risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 50 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,870 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $14,977 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,653 CAD.

That price movement suggests the TLX has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than average, especially if they appeal to shoppers looking for a premium sedan at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,778 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,977 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed design, quicker infotainment, and more standard safety.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for a well-kept example. If you want a newer feel and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2017 is the smarter buy.
