The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers can count on for a smooth, trouble-free experience over time, especially when it comes to ride quality and everyday usability. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to be patient and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 54 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,755 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $14,755 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,301 CAD.

That price movement suggests the TLX has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than someone who bought a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. A lower entry price can help cushion depreciation, especially if you keep the car in strong cosmetic and mechanical shape.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $20,248 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,755 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed design and faster infotainment.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for a well-kept example. Consider the 2018 if you want the updated styling and tech and are willing to pay more for it.
