Is the 2017 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.88/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious and luxurious feel, smooth ride, and robust power, while also noting the appeal of its features and technology. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a practical luxury crossover with room for adults in both rows and a comfort-first driving character. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centred on the vehicle’s smooth operation and overall durability. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of wear, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the previous owner kept up with service.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 125 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,058 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $18,058 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,394 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can put some pressure on future resale if you plan to sell soon. At the same time, a lower entry price can help you buy in at a more attractive point, especially if you expect to keep the vehicle for several years. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a comfortable, practical luxury crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover with solid owner approval and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, price, and service history.
