Generally — 4/5 is a solid user rating for this model year, and the overview points to a compact luxury crossover that is more practical and more comfortable than the original RDX while still keeping useful performance. You also get a roomy cabin, strong cargo space, and a premium feel that suits shoppers who want an easy-to-live-with SUV rather than a purely sporty one. • Inventory: There are 116 listings available.

The current average of $17,141 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,509 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The current range still leaves room for value retention if the vehicle is well kept and priced carefully. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover with a premium badge and you value current market softness. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as the better pick when you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and everyday usability.
