Yes — the 2017 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, and the smooth ride comes through as another recurring strength. The owner feedback also points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing the MDX as a vehicle they can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the infotainment and interior condition have held up well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,122 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,122 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,624 CAD.

That price movement suggests the MDX has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit further downside if you buy at the right price. If you plan to sell later, the current market gives you a clearer benchmark for what buyers are willing to pay today. A lower entry price can also make it easier to stay competitive when it is time to list the vehicle again.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, owner satisfaction, and standard equipment, the 2017 is a strong place to start. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but the 2017’s softer pricing and strong owner feedback make it the better all-around choice for many shoppers.
