The 2017 Acura MDX stands out as a three-row luxury SUV that blends practicality with a strong emphasis on comfort and standard equipment. Acura’s MDX has long been known for offering a third row, and this generation continued that formula with a roomy, family-friendly layout and a reputation for quality. It also brought a lot of new technology to the nameplate, including a dual-screen infotainment setup, and later added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to make day-to-day use a little easier.
What makes the 2017 model especially appealing is the way it pairs that usefulness with a more polished driving experience. The re-engineered 3.5-litre V6 made 290 horsepower and was tuned for lower emissions and better fuel economy, while the Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system helped it drive well and gave it a more confident feel on the road. Acura also made formerly optional safety systems standard with the 2017 refresh, and the MDX Sport Hybrid arrived that year with 321 system horsepower and better efficiency than the standard model. On the downside, the infotainment system was still not especially easy to use, and the third row remained small, so it is best thought of as a practical extra seat rather than a full-size one.

This car, the Acura MDX is a total surprise to me. The features are sophisticated and just the right amount of technology and swag that makes it an eye catching bang for my bucks. I came out of a Tahoe with great features and good looks that turned heads and attracted inquiries. My MDX is getting so many compliments and attention from my friends, family, and group members because the maintenance record was impressive and it has the look of luxury; it's a stylish vehicle, that boasts reliability second only to Toyota Lexus. I enjoy driving the MDX and the only thing missing is free oil changes.
