Used 2016 Volkswagen Passat for Sale nearCalgary, AB

How much does the 2016 Volkswagen Passat cost?

Prices have softened 16.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 52 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Passat a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating suggests you should feel confident considering it if you want a used sedan with strong owner approval. That kind of feedback usually points to a vehicle that has met expectations for everyday use, comfort, and ownership experience. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Passat reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce some of the uncertainty around long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volkswagen Passat?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 52 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,122 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volkswagen Passat's resale value?

The current average of $11,122 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,317 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy at a lower entry price now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later than someone who paid closer to the upper end of the range. Strong condition and a clean service record will matter more if you want to protect value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volkswagen Passat or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a used Passat with strong owner approval and a softer price environment. If your priority is value, this year deserves a close look; if you are especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one.
