Review feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependable ownership, and long-lasting performance, which are exactly the traits you want to see in a used truck. What is the 2016 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $28,278 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,412 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. Because the Tacoma still carries strong owner satisfaction and a reputation for durability, it should remain appealing to used-truck shoppers. Even so, the softer trend means resale gains may be more gradual than in a hotter market.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a Tacoma with strong owner approval, proven durability, and a market that has cooled enough to create some buying opportunities, the 2016 is a sensible target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
