Used 2016 Nissan Sentra for Sale near Quebec

How much does the 2016 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 14.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 113 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Sentra earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval for this model year. The overview highlights a more spacious interior, a more fuel-efficient powertrain, and a refreshed look that keeps the car aligned with its role as an affordable everyday sedan. For you, that means the Sentra makes the most sense if you want a practical compact car with roominess and efficiency at the centre of its appeal. The market also shows 27.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also makes clear that this generation’s main concern is CVT-related reliability, so you should treat a used example as a car that rewards careful inspection and a thorough test drive. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is concentrated around the transmission, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently while still being ready to move on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,537 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $8,537 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,965 CAD.

That tells you the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make the car easier to purchase now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The Sentra’s value story is strongest when you focus on condition, mileage, and maintenance rather than expecting the model to hold value aggressively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Sentra makes sense if you want a roomy, efficient compact sedan and you find one in strong condition at a fair price. If you’re price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
