The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on comfort, space, and a smooth driving experience. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 149 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,601 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $10,601 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,311 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside than someone who paid closer to the previous average. The Pathfinder’s broad family appeal and practical layout should help keep it relevant with shoppers who want space and comfort in a used three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Pathfinder makes sense if you want a roomy, comfortable three-row SUV and you find one priced near or below the current market average. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 is a solid primary target when you want a balance of value, space, and owner approval.
