How much does the 2016 Nissan Murano cost?

Is the 2016 Nissan Murano a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Nissan Murano earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a comfort-first midsize SUV. It stands out for its upscale styling, relaxed driving character, and well-equipped cabin, making it a strong fit if you want a family SUV that feels a bit more premium than average. Its trade-offs are clear, though: it is not the most engaging choice in the class, and practicality is not its strongest suit. 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Murano’s reliability story is tied to its comfort-focused design and mainstream mechanical layout, which can make it appealing for used buyers who want a familiar, low-drama ownership experience. Its CVT is better than many others of its type, but it is still a factor you should evaluate carefully when shopping used examples. For long-term ownership, that means condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,805 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $12,805 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,533 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Murano has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation losses later. The model’s comfort-first appeal should help it remain attractive to shoppers looking for a premium-feeling used SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Murano’s comfort-first character, upscale styling, and strong value in today’s market, the 2016 is a sensible choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a similar example offers a better asking price or a stronger deal.
