Used 2016 Nissan Altima for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2016 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 13.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Altima earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

You’ll see recurring praise for its great gas mileage, sleek design, and comfort, along with comments about its modern features and overall value for the price. That fits the Altima’s role as a midsize sedan that aims to balance style, comfort, and value rather than chase sporty driving feel.

For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a practical, efficient sedan with a polished look and everyday usability. With 23.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and fuel economy. At the same time, the transmission is a recurring concern in the reviews, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the car drives on a test route.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a well-kept example can still carry transmission-related uncertainty, so a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,138 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $9,580 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,054 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce your depreciation exposure, but the current trend still points to a model that is not especially strong on value retention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the better pick if you want the facelifted look, strong comfort, and a used price that has already come down meaningfully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s updated styling and value proposition.
