Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, impressive performance, and attractive design, and many also like the power and technology features. Owner feedback also points to a car that can feel dependable and trouble-free when it is well maintained, with praise centred on its luxurious feel, performance, and technology. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related repairs could be more likely if the car has not been maintained consistently.

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,185 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $18,214 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,013 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and service history than to age alone. If you keep the car well documented and in strong cosmetic shape, you are more likely to protect value in a market that still rewards premium presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $22,617 CAD, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $18,214 CAD average.
• It keeps the formula buyers already value, with comfort, performance, and upscale appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2016 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. Consider the 2017 if you are willing to pay more for a newer example and prefer a slightly more current model-year package. If price matters most, the 2016 is the smarter starting point; if you want to stretch for a newer car, the 2017 is the cleaner alternative.
