Used 2016 MINI Cooper for Sale nearNew Westminster, BC

How much does the 2016 MINI Cooper cost?

Prices have softened 1.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 102 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its fun driving experience, sporty design, and responsive handling, and many also like its peppy power and comfortable interior. That fits especially well if you want a small, premium-feeling car that prioritises driving enjoyment and style over maximum practicality. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its enjoyable character and comfortable cabin. At the same time, the model year is identified as one of the more troublesome years, so condition and maintenance history matter more than they might on a less complicated used car. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is manageable if you choose carefully and verify service records.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 MINI Cooper?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,387 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $13,234 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,392 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to own it for a while, the current pricing gives you a more favourable entry point than last year. If you are thinking about resale later, buying well today matters because the market is already showing some price pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should consider the 2016 if you want the MINI’s signature driving feel and you find one with solid maintenance history at a fair price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains appealing when condition, service records, and deal quality line up.
