How much does the 2016 Lexus IS cost?

There are 52 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Lexus IS earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, comfort, and stylish design, and many also highlight the luxury feel and reliability. The F Sport package is another recurring positive, with drivers saying it makes the car more engaging to drive. With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to reliability as a major strength, with owners describing the car as dependable and something they can count on over the long term. That kind of feedback matters when you're shopping used, because it suggests the car has earned trust through everyday ownership rather than just first impressions. For you, that lowers the sense of long-term ownership risk compared with a model that draws more mixed feedback.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some patience and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 52 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,998 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $21,269 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,773 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay under pressure. If you plan to resell later, the current trend means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for shoppers looking for a luxury sedan with a good reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used luxury sedan with strong owner approval and a softer price trend, the 2016 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you similar satisfaction at a better entry point.
