Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 352 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,458 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport's resale value?

The current average of $11,580 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,501 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make this model easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you may be better positioned to absorb future depreciation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a used SUV with strong owner approval, a lower average price, and a decent chance of finding a good deal. If you're especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years and focusing on the best-priced listings rather than paying extra for a later year without a clear benefit.
