Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT?

It’s a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a well-priced listing appears.

• Deal availability: 16.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 59 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.55% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $9,561 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT's resale value?

The current average of $10,032 CAD sits slightly above last year's $9,782 CAD.

That upward movement suggests the market has been willing to pay a bit more for this model year, which can support resale confidence if you buy at the right price. If prices stay firm, a future seller may benefit from that stability, especially if the car is well maintained and presented cleanly. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 16.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.55% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the year with proven owner satisfaction and a current market price that still sits near the lower end of the year’s range, the 2016 is a sensible primary choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, compare nearby years and focus on whichever listing gives you the best condition-to-price balance.
