Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 14.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 56 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,368 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT's resale value?

The current average of $7,387 CAD sits slightly below last year's $7,676 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range can help protect your overall ownership costs. Strong demand for practical, efficient hatchbacks can still support values when the vehicle is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 14.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used hatchback with strong owner approval, practical space, and a market that has eased a bit, the 2014 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, focus on the best-priced listings and be ready to act when you see one near the low end of the range.
