That upward movement suggests the market has been willing to pay a bit more for this model year, which can support resale confidence if you buy at the right price. The relatively tight spread between the year-round low and high also points to a fairly stable pricing band. Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 22.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.66% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a model year with solid owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
