Is the 2016 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, good gas mileage, and great handling, and many describe it as an ideal family vehicle thanks to its roomy design, sliding doors, and versatile seating. That fits well if you want a practical minivan with a car-like driving feel and family-friendly everyday usability. With 26.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable for family use, with repeated praise for its trouble-free day-to-day ownership, good fuel economy, and long-term usefulness. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for regular commuting, school runs, and road trips if the example you choose has been maintained properly.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about making sure the specific van you buy has a clean maintenance history and has been inspected carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 157 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,873 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $14,873 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,942 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more affordably today but may also limit how much value you recover later if prices stay soft. For a future seller, that means resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance records rather than market momentum alone. A well-kept example should still attract family buyers because the Odyssey’s practicality remains a strong selling point.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-liked, practical family minivan and you value current pricing that has already come down, the 2016 is the sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it can also make sense to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
