The feedback points to a vehicle that owners trust for dependable everyday use, with reliability and durability coming through as part of the Sienna’s appeal. The model’s reputation for being trouble-free and easy to count on is reinforced by the way owners describe its long-term usefulness. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the core vehicle and more about age-related wear on components that can be costly to address if they’ve been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 85 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,487 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $21,086 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,961 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy carefully now, you may be starting from a more realistic entry price, which can help soften depreciation pressure later. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a used Sienna with proven owner satisfaction, solid value, and the practical family-hauling strengths this model is known for. If your priority is getting the best price, the 2016 is worth targeting now; if you want to compare across nearby years, you can also use pricing and condition to decide whether another model year offers a better fit for your budget.
