Used 2016 GMC Terrain for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2016 GMC Terrain cost?

Is the 2016 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2016 GMC Terrain earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly highlight its smooth ride, impressive features, attractive design, comfort, and technology, with the sound system drawing especially positive comments. That fits the Terrain’s role as a compact SUV for you if you want a roomy cabin and a more refined, comfort-first driving experience rather than a sporty one. With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on comfort, features, and a smooth driving experience. At the same time, the model year’s reputation is shaped by concerns around the first-generation four-cylinder and 3.0-litre V6 engines, so used buyers should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition. For long-term ownership, that means the right example can be a solid buy, but a careful inspection matters more than usual.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.

If you find a listing below $10,204 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $10,912 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,827 CAD.

That decline suggests the Terrain has become more buyer-friendly, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well today, the softer market can help you avoid overpaying, but it also means resale gains are unlikely to be driven by appreciation. Instead, your best protection is choosing a clean example with strong service records and desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
