Used 2016 GMC Acadia for Sale nearSt Catharines, ON

How much does the 2016 GMC Acadia cost?

Prices have softened 16.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 61 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 GMC Acadia a good car?

Generally — the 2016 GMC Acadia earns a 4.3/5 user rating, and its overview points to a practical family crossover with a clear focus on comfort and space rather than flash. It was designed to serve shoppers who want a roomy three-row SUV with a straightforward powertrain, plus the option of a more upscale Denali version if you want a more premium presentation.

That makes it a sensible fit if you value passenger space, comfort, and an uncomplicated used-SUV formula over sporty styling or a performance-first feel. The market also shows 36.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also suggests you should focus on the model’s later, more mature examples rather than the earliest first-generation years, since the oldest versions were the least reliable simply because of age. For used buyers, that means your long-term ownership risk is more about condition, maintenance history, and how the vehicle was cared for than about the basic layout itself.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,447 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $12,459 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,871 CAD.

That kind of decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to own it for a while, the current pricing gives you a lower entry point, but resale gains are unlikely to be dramatic unless the vehicle is especially well kept. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong primary choice if you want a roomy, comfort-oriented crossover with a straightforward used-car value proposition. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s balance of value, comfort, and market availability.
