Is the 2022 GMC Acadia a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Acadia earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a used three-row crossover with a more manageable footprint. The model’s updated infotainment system, available wireless smartphone compatibility, and choice of turbo four-cylinder or V6 power give you a useful mix of technology and drivetrain options. Is the 2022 GMC Acadia reliable?

The 2022 Acadia is described as fairly reliable, which strengthens its case as a used buy. Its second-generation packaging and mainstream mechanical setup should make it a sensible choice if you want a family-oriented crossover without a lot of complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still suits your passenger-space needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,020 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $31,057 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,940 CAD.

That drop suggests the Acadia has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy well now, you may be starting from a more realistic entry point, which can help reduce the sting of depreciation later. Demand should remain supported by the model’s family-friendly packaging and broad trim appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Acadia makes the most sense if you want a used midsize three-row SUV with a manageable footprint, useful tech, and a broad trim range, and you value buying into a model year with softer pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2022 is the stronger pick when you want a balance of value, equipment, and buyer appeal.
