Is the 2016 Ford Mustang reliable?

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable and enjoyable to live with over time, especially when it comes to its smooth driving character and overall ownership experience. • Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding value.
• Inventory: There are 144 listings available, so you have enough choice to compare trims and conditions.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.10% compared with last year.

What is the 2016 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $23,887 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,170 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market than they did a year ago. If you buy now, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. Stronger examples should hold up better than average ones, especially if they appeal to shoppers looking for a well-kept performance car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $23,119 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $23,887 CAD average.
• It brought a major redesign with stronger technology and broader appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the newer sixth-generation Mustang experience and are willing to pay a bit more for it. If your priority is saving money, the 2015 is the better value path, especially if you find a clean example with the features you want.
