Is the 2016 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Ford Mustang earns a 4.85/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its fun and smooth ride, performance, and handling, and many also like its stylish design and the value it offers compared with similar cars. With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.85/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable in everyday use, with praise centred on its smooth ride, performance, and handling. That kind of satisfaction often suggests the car can be counted on when maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that condition can vary a lot by engine and how the car was driven or maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Mustang?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding value.
• Inventory: There are 139 listings available, so you have enough selection to compare examples carefully.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,243 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $23,433 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,781 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a particularly desirable example. If you plan to sell later, condition, mileage, and configuration will matter a lot because the market already shows some price easing. Stronger examples should hold up better than average ones, especially if they are well kept and attract enthusiast interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $22,723 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $23,433 CAD average.
• It brought a major redesign with stronger dynamics and more technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the more affordable current-year market position with strong owner approval and decent deal availability. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the better value path, especially if you find a clean example with the features and condition you want.
