Is the 2016 Ford Fusion a good car?

Generally — the 4.1/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used sedan. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and reliability, and many also value the spacious interior and generous standard features. That lines up well if you want a midsize sedan that feels practical, polished, and easy to live with. Is the 2016 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability as one of the Fusion’s strengths, alongside its smooth ride and comfortable day-to-day manners. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that individual examples may show the minor issues some owners mention, so a careful inspection still matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 107 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,659 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $9,697 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,698 CAD.

That softer pricing means the Fusion is currently more affordable to buy than it was a year ago, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment. If you buy now, your entry price is lower, which can help offset slower appreciation later. Stronger-condition examples with desirable equipment should still be easier to move when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Fusion makes sense if you want a well-liked midsize sedan with a lower used price and enough inventory to compare options carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to cross-shop nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
