Is the 2016 Ford Fusion a good car?

Generally — the 4.1/5 user rating points to a well-liked used sedan. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and reliability, and they also highlight the roomy cabin and generous standard features. That lines up well if you want a practical everyday midsize sedan with a polished feel and useful space. With 24.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to reliability and dependable day-to-day use, with owners describing it as a car they can count on for comfortable commuting and regular driving. That said, some shoppers have noted minor design flaws and concerns with the rearview camera and acceleration power in certain models. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been well maintained and does not show signs of those reported issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,661 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $9,744 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,932 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point if you plan to keep the car for a while. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the car is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. A lower entry price today can soften depreciation pressure later, but the market still rewards well-kept examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a roomy, comfortable midsize sedan with a good ownership reputation and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If you are price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
