Is the 2016 Ford Fusion a good car?

Generally — the 4.1/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used sedan. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and reliability, and many also point to the spacious interior and useful standard features. That fits the Fusion’s role as a midsize sedan that blends sharp styling with everyday practicality, especially if you want a roomy cabin and a car that feels polished without giving up value. With 22.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to reliability as one of the Fusion’s strengths, with owners describing it as dependable and trouble-free in everyday use. That said, some shoppers have noted minor design flaws and occasional concerns with the rearview camera and acceleration power in certain models. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still inspect the specific car’s condition and service history closely.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 22.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,656 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $9,983 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,896 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Fusion has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you pay close to the current market average, your resale upside may be limited unless the car is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. On the other hand, a lower purchase price can help protect you from further value loss over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 22.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Ford Fusion makes the most sense if you want a stylish, roomy midsize sedan with a strong owner satisfaction record and some pricing softness in the market. If you’re shopping on value, this year is worth a close look. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest one you can afford.
