Is the 2016 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2016 Acura TLX, and it fits shoppers who want a midsize luxury sedan with a comfortable ride, a well-equipped cabin, and multiple powertrain choices. The base car includes features such as four-wheel steering, LED headlights and brake lights, a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a seven-speaker audio system, while available packages add leather seating surfaces, navigation, premium audio, and more advanced convenience and safety equipment. For used buyers, that mix of equipment and value makes it appealing if you want a premium badge without moving into a much pricier segment.

36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Acura TLX offers a strong equipment list and a comfortable, premium feel, but you should still pay close attention to transmission behaviour and overall maintenance history when shopping used. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained example with expensive drivetrain or electronics issues that could outweigh the car’s value advantage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively rather than rushing, but the best examples may still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.99% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,446 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $15,222 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,789 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make resale a little softer for future sellers if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but you should still expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Acura TLX is the better fit if you want a well-equipped luxury sedan with a strong value proposition and you can find a clean example at the right price. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years and focusing on the best-maintained car rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
