The current average of $16,095 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,271 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, the current softness may limit short-term appreciation, but it can also make the vehicle easier to move if you buy well. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time, especially for shoppers looking for a comfortable and practical three-row luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market pricing, the 2016 is the primary year to focus on. It makes sense for you if you want a well-equipped three-row luxury SUV and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and service history. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016’s strong satisfaction and current market softness.
