The 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan stands out as a compact SUV that aimed for a more premium, more engaging feel than many of its rivals. It was conceived with a smooth and responsive drive in mind, and front-wheel drive was the default drivetrain layout on the base Trendline trim, with 4Motion all-wheel drive available on that trim and standard on the Comfortline and Highline trim levels. Power came from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, which gave it punchy performance, though fuel economy was not one of its strengths.
It also brought a quality-focused cabin and a useful mix of updates by this point in its life. The 2012 model year brought updated styling with a much sleeker front end, along with equipment upgrades, and the 2013 model year added an R-Line package with a sportier look thanks to additional side skirts, a rear spoiler, and extended wheel arches. A Wolfsburg trim level joined the line-up for the final model year in 2017. Even so, the Tiguan’s reputation for reliability was not especially strong, with engine, cooling system, and electrical problems noted, so a careful test drive matters when shopping for one.

I felt like this car was just a car and really lacked from not having all of the features listed in its description. This car does drive well. It has great acceleration and a very smooth ride. I felt it was spacious enough for my needs. It did have a backup camera but that seemed to be its only noteable feature. If you need a great set of wheels that take you to your destination than this will suffice. If your life requires other creature comforts, this might not be the best option.
