Is the 2015 Toyota 4Runner a good car?

Generally — the 4.43/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked SUV. Owners consistently point to its smooth ride, comfortable seating, and strong reliability, while also appreciating its off-road capability and practical touches like the rear window that opens like a regular window. In use, that makes it a strong fit if you want a rugged midsize SUV with everyday comfort and genuine all-terrain ability. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Toyota 4Runner reliable?

Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights strong reliability, dependable ownership, and a vehicle that many drivers feel comfortable counting on over time. That lines up with the 4Runner’s reputation for durability and long-term dependability, especially if you want something built for years of use rather than short-term novelty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a rugged SUV can still carry age-related wear, so condition and maintenance history matter.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 65 listings available.

The current average of $28,229 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,086 CAD.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can ask if prices keep drifting. Even so, the 4Runner’s strong owner satisfaction and reputation for durability should help support demand over time. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you’re still starting from a position of relative strength for resale.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota 4Runner or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the classic 4Runner formula, the 2015 is a sensible year to target because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent deal availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar condition and equipment for less money.
