Is the 2015 Subaru Forester a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Subaru Forester earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its performance, comfort, and safety features, and they often call out its smooth handling and spacious interior. It also fits well if you want a practical daily driver with all-weather confidence and family-friendly utility. Is the 2015 Subaru Forester reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centred on its practicality and everyday usability. At the same time, some owners mention reliability concerns, so maintenance history matters when you are shopping used.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a poorly maintained example, especially if service records are incomplete.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Forester?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 194 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,810 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Forester's resale value?

The current average of $11,948 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,545 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, the current trend means your future value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how clean its history is. A well-kept example should be easier to move than one with gaps in service or signs of neglect.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Forester or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a sensible choice if you want a used Forester with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also look at nearby years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-maintained example gives you more value for your budget.
