Used 2015 RAM 1500 for Sale nearOshawa, ON

How much does the 2015 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 15.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 415 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 RAM 1500 a good car?

The 2015 RAM 1500 is a strong fit if you want a full-size pickup that leans more toward comfort and refinement than bare-bones utility, and its 3.85/5 user rating and 7.67/10 expert rating support that balanced appeal.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners commonly praise its powerful performance, luxury features, and comfort, and many also like its efficient towing and enjoyable driving experience. That lines up well with the overview’s emphasis on a truck that can work as either a basic utility vehicle or a more upscale cruiser.

Only 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than broadly bargain-heavy.

Is the 2015 RAM 1500 reliable?

The 2015 RAM 1500 is presented as a truck that has aged well, with a capable chassis and powertrains that are described as smooth and competent.

Owners often describe it as dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, while also valuing its long-term comfort and towing ability. The expert assessment also says the V6 and eight-speed automatic are “entirely unnoticeable,” which is a good sign for refinement and everyday dependability.

The diesel option can be appealing if you plan to keep the truck a long time, but its higher purchase price means the ownership equation depends on how much you drive. For used buyers, that makes condition and maintenance history especially important, since repair costs on a high-mileage truck can quickly outweigh the savings from a lower asking price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The trim walk starts with the Tradesman, then moves through ST, SXT, SLT, Big Horn, Outdoorsman, Sport, R/T, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Laramie Limited. The base trims are more work-focused, while the higher trims add more upscale content and the luxury trims are aimed at buyers who want a more polished truck.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8, and a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel. The V6 is described as capable and smooth, the Hemi brings stronger towing ability, and the EcoDiesel is the efficiency play if you can justify the higher upfront cost.
• Safety package: A standard passive-safety suite includes airbags, pretensioning seatbelts, antilock brakes, and brake assist. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, the backup camera is highlighted as a must-have, and front and rear parking sensors are standard on Laramie editions but optional on most other trims.
• Infotainment: An optional 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen is available on most trims and is standard above the Outdoorsman. It includes Bluetooth and SiriusXM satellite radio, while less expensive trims can have more basic systems.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.6-litre V6 is rated at 13.9 L/100 km city and 9.5 highway in RWD, or 14.6/10.1 in 4WD. The 5.7-litre Hemi V8 uses 15.7/10.9 in RWD or 16.2/11.5 in 4WD. The 3.0-litre EcoDiesel is the most efficient at 11.5/8.4 in RWD or 12.1/8.8 in 4WD.

Which 2015 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2015 RAM 1500 is offered in 10 trim levels: Tradesman, ST, SXT, SLT, Big Horn, Outdoorsman, Sport, R/T, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Laramie Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the most work-oriented choice, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-frills truck and care more about utility than comfort.
• SLT: This is the popular pick and a sensible middle ground if you want a better-equipped truck without moving too far up the price ladder.
• Big Horn: This is the consumer volume model and adds a few more content upgrades over the SLT, making it the best-value trim for many shoppers.
• Outdoorsman: Choose this if you want a trim with a more outdoorsy flavour and you plan to use the truck for mixed-duty driving.
• Sport: This trim leans into a more distinctive appearance and includes the R/T option as part of the Sport family.
• R/T: This is the more aggressive Sport-based choice and gets 22-inch alloy wheels this year.
• Laramie: This is where the truck starts to feel more upscale, and it also gets standard front and rear parking sensors.
• Laramie Longhorn: Pick this if you want a more luxurious full-size pickup with a stronger premium feel.
• Laramie Limited: This is the top-end luxury choice and the most upscale version in the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers: there are some good opportunities, but you should still compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 415 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,020 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $16,071 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,120 CAD.

That price movement suggests the truck has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect value, but the market is clearly not rewarding overpricing right now. For a seller, the best path is to present a clean, well-maintained truck with the right equipment and realistic pricing.

Is the 2015 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2015 RAM 1500 earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, including four-star ratings in frontal crash and five-star ratings in side impacts.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The truck’s standard safety equipment includes airbags, pretensioning seatbelts, antilock brakes, brake assist, and electronic stability control with trailer sway control. Blind-spot monitoring is available, the backup camera is strongly recommended, and parking sensors are standard on Laramie editions but optional on most other trims.

Should I buy a 2015 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.95% compared with last year.
• The 2015 model year stands out for its handsome looks, two strong powertrain choices, and cabin range that runs from work truck to luxe cruiser.

The bottom line: The 2015 RAM 1500 is a smart pick if you want this generation’s comfort, style, and powertrain variety at a more approachable price than last year. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2015 is the year to target; if you want to compare against newer trucks, be prepared to pay more for fresher inventory and potentially newer features.
