How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Ford Mustang earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. That lines up well with the Mustang’s role as a redesigned sports coupe that blends heritage with a more modern, more polished driving experience. For you, that means it suits buyers who want a car with personality as much as pace.

There are 26.5% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and satisfying to live with, with praise centred on the power, handling, comfort, and classic design. The expert assessment also notes that Mustang ownership has historically been slightly better than average for quality, dependability, and ownership costs.

Ford also positions this generation as a more technologically sophisticated car than before, so you should pay attention to how well the electronics and features work on any used example. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a more complex redesign can bring more things to inspect carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Mustang V6 is the entry point, while the GT, GT Premium, and 50 Years Limited Edition add the desirable V8 character. The GT test car was sparsely equipped and lacked Ford’s MyFord Touch infotainment system, so you should check whether the features you want are actually present.
• Powertrain: You can shop a 5.0-litre V8 with 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, or a turbocharged 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder with 310 hp. The six-speed manual is described as refined, with short throws and easy clutch take-up, while the six-speed automatic is optional.
• Safety package: MyKey is standard and lets you set limits for speed and stereo volume, while a backup camera is standard on all Mustangs. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available, but not every car will have them.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses knobs and buttons with Ford Sync Bluetooth, while an optional MyFord Touch system adds an 8-inch touchscreen. Navigation and a premium audio system with HD Radio are additional upgrades once MyFord Touch is fitted.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT test car returned 12.6 L/100 km, while the EcoBoost or EcoBoost Premium was reported at 10.1 L/100 km.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 4 trim levels: Mustang V6, GT, GT Premium, and 50 Years Limited Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Mustang V6: This is the entry trim, and it makes sense if you want the Mustang shape and nameplate at the lowest starting point. It is the trim to consider if you care more about getting into the model than chasing the V8 experience.
• GT: This is the best-value choice if you want the full Mustang personality, because it brings the 5.0-litre V8 and the strongest performance character. It suits you best if sound, acceleration, and rear-drive fun matter most.
• GT Premium: Choose this if you want the V8 experience with a more upscale feel and more equipment. It is the right pick if you want the Mustang’s performance without feeling like you bought the stripped-down version.
• 50 Years Limited Edition: This is the special-occasion choice for shoppers who want the anniversary model’s added exclusivity. It makes the most sense if collectability and celebration value matter to you.

MyKey is standard, and the available blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are worth seeking out if safety tech matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 98 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,119 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $23,119 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,037 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention. Even so, the Mustang’s strong enthusiast appeal helps support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2015 Mustang earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in nearly all assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in all tests except the driver’s side small overlap, where it receives an Acceptable grade.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

MyKey is standard, letting you set limits for speed and stereo volume while encouraging seat-belt use. A backup camera is standard on all Mustangs, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert plus adaptive cruise control are available. The standard Sync Bluetooth system also includes 911 Assist, which can automatically alert emergency responders after a collision if a paired device is in the car.

The main caveat is the IIHS small-overlap result on the driver’s side, which is weaker than the rest of its crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings a redesigned sixth-generation Mustang with a big improvement in dynamics and technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $20,976 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $23,119 CAD average.
• It feels thoroughly developed and better than ever.

The bottom line: If you want the more modern, redesigned Mustang with stronger tech and broader appeal, the 2015 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want strong performance and a mature Mustang feel, the 2014 is the smarter value play.
