Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 22.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 254 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,603 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $15,101 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,145 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests buyers have a bit more leverage today, but it can also mean less upside for a future seller if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation by choosing a truck priced near the lower end of the range. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.51/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 22.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.51/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $16,236 CAD, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,101 CAD average.
• It adds a broader range of powertrain and cabin choices.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year with broader configuration flexibility, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
