Yes — the 2014 RAM 1500 earns a 4.51/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, and spacious interior, and many also like the comfort and feature content for the price. Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance history matters a lot more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 20.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 261 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,593 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $15,326 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,044 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale gains harder to count on in the short term. If you buy now, your eventual resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should still hold interest because this truck has broad appeal among shoppers who want comfort and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.51/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 20.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.51/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $16,071 CAD, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,326 CAD average.
• It offers a more attention-getting look and a broader range of cabin and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a comfortable, well-equipped full-size truck at a lower average price. If you can stretch your budget and want a slightly newer alternative with more visual appeal and broader configuration choices, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
