Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury features, strong performance, and stylish design, and many also like the handling, acceleration, and interior quality. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a mid-size luxury car with comfort, technology, and a broad range of body styles. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable when it has been well cared for, with many drivers appreciating its solid build and long-term usability. The model is described as generally robust and able to handle plenty of kilometres if maintained properly, which is encouraging for used buyers. Even so, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and test-drive behaviour, because long-term ownership risk rises if wear items or transmission issues have been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 64 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,509 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $20,102 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,029 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car more attractive to you as a buyer but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range. The fact that demand remains supported by owner satisfaction helps, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed look, broad equipment list, and strong owner approval, the 2014 is the right place to focus. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2014 remains the better pick when you want a well-equipped luxury car with solid market support.
