There are 96 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Hyundai Sonata earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its sporty performance, stylish design, and good fuel efficiency, and many also value the available heated and power seats plus the rearview camera. For you, that makes it a compelling midsize sedan if you want a roomy, practical daily driver with a more upscale feel than many rivals. With 18.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependability, and good value for money, which is encouraging if you want a used sedan you can count on. That said, you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition, because long-term ownership risk can rise if the car has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Sonata?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 18.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 96 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 27.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,194 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $7,194 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,986 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sonata has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, the remaining depreciation may be more manageable than it was a year ago. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 18.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 27.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a value-focused midsize sedan with strong owner approval and you can verify its maintenance history carefully. If your priority is simply finding the lowest upfront price, a nearby model year may also be worth comparing, but the 2014 is the better starting point when you want a balance of value, features, and buyer confidence.
